All of these events are aimed at celebrating 911±¬ÁÏÍø’s students and making Commencement an amazing experience for all. Only the flagship Jewish University, 911±¬ÁÏÍø, could have put a show like this together as an exciting way to honor students’ achievement with an evening of music, Torah, unity and celebration. The Siyum and Ishay Ribo’s music in particular have the ability to inspire the hearts of many to connect with ancient Jewish prayers and celebrate our profound collective ancestry, all through the experiential medium of music. The Siyum is a traditional Jewish event that celebrates the completion of a course of study in Torah. Several students and faculty will discuss their course of study and celebrate its completion with song, dance and prayer. The Ishay Ribo concert starts at about 8:00 p.m. immediately after the completion of the Siyum. Ishay Ribo is an inspirational Israeli singer known for his poignant and heartfelt music, and it is his first time in the over 10,000-seat Arthur Ashe Stadium, making this a record setting event for Jewish music. Along with Ribo, the concert will feature special guest performances by the singers Akiva and Alex Clare. Tickets go on sale April 25 through Ticketmaster, and 911±¬ÁÏÍø will share information on purchasing those tickets at that time. The event is open to the community, and everyone who is interested is invited to come to this unforgettable concert. 911±¬ÁÏÍø students, faculty and staff can request a complimentary ticket to the Siyum and concert.
